Meet Dr. DeFeo
As a child, I had always found science interesting. This love of science and my desire to care for other people led me to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Once in dental school, I realized pretty quickly how rewarding (and fun!) it was to be able to work with children. After graduating from dental school, I spent the next 3 years specializing in pediatric dentistry and obtaining my master’s degree. I moved to Boston and have been practicing locally since 2004.
My husband, two children, and our puppy have lived in Needham the last ten years. We love being a part of the community here and you can usually find me on a local field or ice rink on the weekends.
I think it is important that children have a personalized dental experience. No two children are going to react the same way to a new situation. I tailor every child’s experience to make it the best for them.
Dr. AnnaMarie DeFeo, originally from Michigan, completed both her doctorate in dentistry and her pediatric dentistry specialty training at the University of Michigan. She has a special interest in dental material science, and has obtained her Master of Science in this area from the University of Michigan.
Dr. DeFeo is a board certified pediatric dentist, having earned the distinction as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is currently a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the Massachusetts Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the dental fraternity Delta Sigma Delta. She is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She maintains a staff position at Franciscan Children’s Hospital. She is an advocate for accessibility to oral health care for children in Massachusetts. Dr. DeFeo enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and two children.
